February 4, 2026 (Wed) — Risshun (First Day of Spring)

To the Residents of
Timeless Town Shin-Urayasu

HOA President, Timeless Town Shin-Urayasu
Takuya Sato

The Sato Family

Thank you for your support throughout my two-year term.

I accepted this role with the goal of "HOA Digital Transformation," entrusted by the previous president. Thanks to the support of all residents, we were able to continue traditions like the Halloween event, introduce LINE Works for the association, organize bus tours, and participate in nearby festivals — creating opportunities for our community to grow closer.

However, early in my second term, I discovered that my family's ancestral graves are on Maui Island, Hawaii. This suddenly required me to travel back and forth internationally for cemetery caretaking duties. As a result, there were aspects of management that did not go as smoothly as I would have liked — this is my main regret from my term.

Yet through this experience of tending graves, I came to reconsider what a community should be, and found myself confronting questions of life and death from many perspectives. I wanted to share the lessons I learned with all of you, which is why I've decided to distribute Pearl Soap to everyone.

This spring, I will be establishing a new base in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture. I hope to maintain my connection with Timeless Town. These two years here have been an irreplaceable time for me.

For the remainder of my term, I will continue working on pending coordination with local government and transitioning to the next president. We are still looking for the next HOA president — if you are interested in running, please feel free to reach out.

About Pearl Soap

Pearl Soap
Handmade paw-pad soap

Pearl Soap is a handmade soap named after "Pearl," the beloved dog who lived with our family from 2007. After Pearl passed away in 2025, I wanted to express my feeling of "Thank you for being here" in a tangible form.

Every time you hold the paw-shaped soap in your hand, you're reminded that a precious being "was here." I make these wanting to deliver those small, everyday moments of remembrance.

Cemetery caretaking in Maui, saying goodbye to my beloved dog — over these two years, I've been constantly thinking about "preserving existence." The residents of Timeless Town are the first people I wanted to share these feelings with.

This is not a product for sale. It's a gift for those I'm connected to.

The other day, I went to a kids' event with my daughter.

On the way home, she was carrying a paper hat and a mini balloon. She was thrilled with both. But by the time we got home, the balloon had deflated, and by the next morning, everything was in the trash.

That same day, my daughter had given a Pearl Soap to someone she met at the event.

Corporate giveaways are fun in the moment. But they disappear quickly.
A handmade soap stays with you until it's used up. And through the QR code, it connects you to the story of the person who made it.

The same "gift" — but some become memories,
and some just disappear.

Soap, once used, disappears.

But the fact that you were here,
the fact that you cared for someone —
that doesn't have to disappear.

Proof of Existence Engraved in Quartz Glass — For 1,000 Years

Through my cemetery caretaking in Maui, one question emerged: Gravestones weather away, and cloud services disappear when they shut down. Is there truly a way to preserve proof that someone important existed? From that question, "TokiStorage" was born — a proof-of-existence service that engraves names, photos, and messages in quartz glass.
